Characterization

  • Characterization chamber for photovoltaic panels with solar flash simulator and electroluminescence imaging

General view of the photovoltaic panel characterization chamber
      • Description: The photovoltaic module is characterized in a dark chamber and has two functions to meet the current standards. Characterization of the module by extracting the V-I curve and the main electrical parameters of the cells. Electroluminescence test (EL) by means of a flash, which is a useful characterisation tool for the early detection of performance limiting defects such as micro-cracks, unwanted impurities inside photovoltaic (PV) module cells and grain boundaries. The chamber has the capacity to test modules with dimensions of 2400x2000mm.
      • Processing characteristics: The chamber has the capacity to test modules with dimensions of 2400x2000mm.
      • Year of installation: 2013
